ROCHDALE face a six-pointer at Boston tomorrow after an unscheduled two-game break that has left them hovering close to relegation.

Manager Steve Parkin's plans have been disrupted with the recall to Bolton of Jeff Smith midway through his loan spell, and a midweek thigh injury to his natural replacement Patrick McCourt.

Up front Parkin has to choose between leading scorer Kevin Townson and record signing Paul Connor, the subject of a bid this week from Swansea.
