Rochdale

Preview: Rochdale v Cheltenham Town

ROCHDALE will cast an anxious eye towards the relegation picture tomorrow as they entertain Cheltenham a week after a damaging defeat to Northampton.

Steve Parkin's side host the Robins knowing that defeat could see them overtaken by any team bar bottom club Carlisle United.

Home form since Parkin's return has been good but he will have to do without suspended Daryl Burgess and Sean McClare. Skipper Gareth Griffiths returns in defence after injury and Parkin's third loan signing from Bolton, Jeff Smith, is a likely starter in place of McClare.

Up front Parkin has a nice headache with Grant Holt returning after his one-game ban and he could partner leading scorer Kevin Townson.

LAST SEASON: Different divisions

KEY OPPONENT: Paul Brayson - nippy striker with an eye for goal.

PREDICTION: Rochdale 2 Cheltenham 1
