ROCHDALE head to bogey ground Roots Hall tomorrow hoping to avoid the Collymore effect.

The controversial former England striker is widely tipped to be named the player-boss of the struggling Shrimpers on the eve of the game.

And Collymore's presence is sure to inspire a team that has lot six out of nine home games scoring just seven goals in the process.

Dale have enough problems of their own following four successive league defeats without having to cope with an injury crisis.

They will be without Gary Jones (foot) and Michael Simpkins (hamstring).

Lee McEvilly, Wayne Evans and Neil Edwards are all rated doubtful for the trip following injuries that they picked up in last Saturday's home defeat at the hands of Kidderminster.
