DARYL Burgess has agreed a two-year deal with Rochdale.

The 32-year-old former West Brom defender was released by Northampton Town at the end of last season and arrives at Spotland on a free transfer.

Meanwhile, Grimsby boss Paul Groves is determined to sign striker Clive Platt, but faces a battle with Notts County.
