CARETAKER boss Keith Hill at least has a virtually fully fit
squad to choose from as he makes his bow in the hot seat for
Rochdale's testing League Two trip to the MK Dons.
Hill, a former defensive stalwart and now the Director of Youth
Football at Spotland, has hinted that changes are likely for his
first game at the helm in the wake of Steve Parkin's
departure.
Midfielder Lee Crooks and strikers Glenn Murray and Clive Modise
are all pushing for places leaving Hill with some difficult
decisions to make.
The stand-in boss could have been handed a less difficult debut as
the Dons, under former Brentford chief Martin Allen, are a big
physical side.
A major threat to Dale is likely to come in the shape of former
Spotland player Clive Platt who now leads the Dons' attacking line
and is always a threat.
Hill's chances of landing the job on a permanent basis would
receive a massive boost if he, along with newly installed caretaker
assistant Gareth Griffiths can somehow arrest Dale's alarming slide
down the table by conjuring up an unlikely win.
Last season: Different divisions
Key opponent: Izale McLeod - The Dons dangerman has a tally of 13 goals this season, and will be looking to add to that figure.
Prediction: MK Dons 2 Rochdale 1 - Dale's new boss Keith Hill makes his bow at Milton Keynes, but The Dons are going to prove difficult opponents.
