Rochdale

Preview: Rochdale v Hartlepool

ROCHDALE entertain league leaders Hartlepool at Spotland with manager Paul Simpson hoping that the occasion will lift his players into ending a winless run that dates back to September.

"We know it's going to be tough but it's a fantastic game for us. If players can't get themselves up for games against sides at the top of the table, then we do have problems."

Simpson will once again leave himself out of what will be an unchanged side.

Teenager Simon Grand will continue to deputise for suspended skipper Gareth Griffiths as Simpson continues with his new-look 3-4-3 formation.

LAST SEASON: 1-1

KEY OPPONENT: Marcus Richardson - tall rangy striker who has been in the goals since his move north from Torquay.

PREDICTION: 1-1.
