Walsall 1 Rochdale 1

ROCHDALE were denied victory at League Two leaders high-fliers Walsall after conceding a last-minute equaliser.

Dale were helped on their way to the perfect start when after three minutes Walsall's Trinidadian international goalkeeper Clayton Ince managed to fumble a wickedly in-swinging Rory Prendergast free kick into his own goal.

Rochdale defended doggedly and limited their hosts to just one first-half chance when Rory McArdle cleared a Dean Keates effort off the line.

Then deep into time added on Walslall defender Scott Dann stunned them with an equaliser having carried the ball 30 yards before drilling it home from 25 yards.
