ROCHDALE face a first ever trip to Boston United on Saturday looking to end a run of three successive defeats.
Player boss Paul Simpson is still without the suspended Clive Platt and Wayne Evans is unlikely to have recovered from the hamstring injury he sustained against Scunthorpe last Saturday.
If the Welshman doesn't make it youngster Lee Duffy will again deputise.
Simpson wants his players to "take responsibility for themselves'' but is not downbeat despite his side's recent run.
"We will approach the game as we always do, looking to win it. Being positive we have two games in four days and if we win them both we could conceivably be top of the table.''
Simpson has stated that he has four of the best strikers in the division at Dale, but is worried by the lack of chances. To counter that he has signed Spaniard Jesus Fernandez Mengual and the former Real Zaragoxa player could feature.
LAST SEASON: Different divisions
KEY OPPONENT: Lee Thompson - loan striker who bagged a hat-trick on his debut last week.
FORECAST: Boston 0 Rochdale 1
