ROCHDALE'S hopes of some light relief and a run in the Carling Cup were ended courtesy of a rampant second-half performance by a Doncaster team inspired by substitute James Coppinger.
Adam Rundle became Rochdale's top and only scorer this season when he found the net with an in-swinging corner seconds before the break but the introduction at half-time of Coppinger ignited the home side.
His crosses produced a pair of volleyed finishes by the giant Mark McCammon.
Dale hit back through John Doolan but couldn't find an equaliser.
What is your verdict on the performance? Have your say.
