Rochdale 0 Notts County 1

ALAN White's second-half goal condemned injury-ravaged Rochdale to a fourth successive defeat.

With the heart of his squad ripped out by injury manager Steve Parkin could have no complaints about effort and commitment, but his side rarely troubled the high-flying Magpies.

Goalkeeper Matt Gilkes, making his 150th appearance for the club, kept his side in the game with top draw saves at each end of the opening period but he was powerless as defender White swept home a Jason Lee knock down six minutes after the break.

Luckless Dale were denied a last-minute penalty when Lee Crooks appeared to be bundled over before livewire teenage substitute Clive Moyo-Modise hit the side netting with the game's last kick.
