ROCHDALE's Gareth Griffiths will play his last professional game at Lincoln City tomorrow.
Griffiths, who abandoned plans to retire last season, will definitely call it quits this weekend.
The 36-year-old defender has been at Spotland for five seasons, playing more than 200 games for the club.
He said: "It's been a struggle towards the end. These old bones of mine don't appear to be recovering as quickly but I've loved every minute of it and I've thoroughly enjoyed my career.
"My time at Rochdale has been fantastic and I've always had an excellent relationship with the staff and the fans. I'll leave with many new friends and I'm sure I'll be back to watch a few games.
"When I look back it was a gamble moving into the professional game with Port Vale all those years ago but it's worked out perfectly."
Boss Steve Parkin, whose side are free of any relegation worries, said: "I'd like to thank Griff for his efforts. He's a super guy."
Last season: Lincoln 1 Rochdale 1
Key opponent: With ten goals this season Gary Birch will cause trouble.
Prediction: Lincoln 0 Rochdale 1
