ROCHDALE have a break from their early season promotion challenge with a visit to Hillsborough against first division Sheffield Wednesday and player/boss Paul Simpson is looking forward to it.
"It is a great place to play and I have some great memories of the place throughout my career as I've always seemed to nick a goal there.
"I am hoping that we can play as we did at Carlisle last Friday and to give a good account of ourselves.
Injury worries
"We have one or two injury worries but we have the lads back from international duty and may have to shuffle things around again. We have got players who can come in, players who are chomping at the bit and I have confidence in whatever side I put out"
Simpson may have to do without his latest signing Ian Bishop, who played at Carlisle despite an achilees problem and may not be risked. Lee McEvilly and Pat McCourt are back into contention after their appearances for Northern Ireland Under 21's and Steve Macauley is available after a foot infection.
Wednesday are seen as something of a fallen giant and no one knows them better than Dale assistant boss Jamie Hoyland.
"They have some very good players who will be the first to admit that they let themselves down over the last few years," he said.
"We will be encouraging our players to go out and enjoy the occasion.Though the league is obviously our top priority we would like a good cup run and it is a chance for our players to show that they are capable of playing at a higher level"
