ROCHDALE boss Paul Simpson has admitted the ongoing confusion about the transfer window and how it will relate to the lower league clubs is hampering his efforts to offload players and bring in new faces.
With negotiations to exempt the Nationwide League clubs from the transfer window system in the aftermath of the ITV Digital collapse still ongoing, Simpson is keeping one eye on how things pan out before delving into the market for new players.
"There is a couple of situations I'm trying to get going as regards players going out and people coming," he told the Rochdale website. "If I can do something I'll do it, and if I can't then I'm still happy to go with the squad I've got.
"I'm looking to improve the squad all the time, but we'll just have to wait and see what developments there are this week."
