OVER 120 children attended Rochdale AFC’s Football in the Community half-term programme at various venues across the borough and although there was several days of bad weather, they all seemed to enjoy themselves with a number being recommended to the Club’s Centre of Excellence and Rochdale FC Ladies.

St Marys Primary School

Most Improved: David Alaki, Zac Du-Rose. Star Performers: Ellie Hoolickin, Thomas Rutter. Skills Winners: Renee Bradley, Declan Smith. Personalities: Paul Stewart, Paul Lord.

Littleborough Community School

Most Improved: James Wharmby, Samuel Ball. Star Performers: Ryan Bamford, Jimmy Howard. Skills Winners: James Hebb, Anthony McGlade. Personalities: Jake Frost, Jack Lowe.

Siddal Moor Sports College

Most Improved: Blake Lawson. Star Performer: Rayhan Musfata. Skills Winner: Allie-Alan Jones. Personality: Max Lawson.

Awards, sponsored by McDonalds, were presented in all categories in each age group and all attenders were given Rochdale AFC goodie bags plus a Certificate of Attendance at the end of the week.

Plans have been made for the Christmas holidays, so why not go down and enjoy the friendly courses.

Times & prices: Five-day full course: £32.50 Half day: £22.50. Four-day full course: £27.50 Half day: £17.50. Three-day full course: £22.50 Half day: £12.50. (Half day: 10am -12.30pm. Full day: 10am - 3pm)

Open to all children aged five upwards. Awards for each age group (most improved, star, skills, personality).
