ROCHDALE boss Steve Parkin has opted against his usual pre-season trip to Scotland, preferring instead to base his side at Gloucester University where they have trained before several matches in the past.

Parkin is looking forward to having his new look side together for at least a week and using what are excellent facilities as he looks to build the fitness of his players to the levels that he always demands.
