Exeter v Rochdale: Preview

Rochdale boss Steve Eyre hopes new loan signing Nathan Eccleston can make an immediate impact when they travel to Exeter City tomorrow.

The Liverpool striker joined on a month's loan and looks likely to get his first taste of action at St James’ Park against League One’s bottom side.

The Grecians go into the game on the back of a heavy defeat to high-flying Huddersfield.

“They lost 4-0 at home to Huddersfield and while there is no disgrace in losing to a side second in League One, they are professionals and they will be disappointed,” Eyre said.

“They will want to bounce back with a result against us while, for our part, we will be looking to capitalise on playing a team which has been struggling.”

Key opponent: Daniel Nardiello - Always a goal threat

Prediction: Exeter 1 Rochdale 1 - It will be a tight game but Rochdale should be able to come away with a draw
