FA Cup Preview: Rochdale v Oxford Utd

ROCHDALE entertain fellow Coca Cola League 2 side Oxford in the first round of the FA Cup at Spotland with manager Steve Parkin hoping that they can build on back-to-back home league wins.

"The players have worked incredibly hard over the last few weeks with hardly a day off, but with the confidence of good wins behind us, we have been able to build up to this game in a more enjoyable manner," said Parkin.

"It is a massive game for us and there is prize money at stake so we will be going into it in a positive manner."

Parkin will have to make at least one change to a winning side, with Daryl Burgess suspended and first choice keeper Neil Edwards pushing for a recall after a foot infection.

Kiwi winger Leo Bertos may also get a start after his excellent display from the bench against Cambridge.

For their part, big-spending Oxford and manager Graham Rix are enduring a torrid time with just one win in their last eight games and the axe could fall on the former England midfielder if his side continue their slump.
