Rochdale 1 Cheltenham Town 2

MISSING suspended striker Grant Holt, Rochdale produced their worst performance of the season to hand their visitors a first win since August.

Cheltenham took the lead midway through the second half when J J Melligan toe-poked home from close range and doubled their lead on 84 minutes when substitute Brian Wilson slammed home a Martin Devaney cross.

A hotly disputed Gary Jones penalty sparked a grandstand finish by the home side but proved too little, too late.
