MATTHEW GILKS: A more than capable deputy, the young keeper started the season in goal and was very unlucky to lose his place to the fit-again Edwards. Never let the side down and has a big future in the game 6
WAYNE EVANS: Is now approaching the veteran stage but still puts in solid defensive shows. Not at his best going forward he was a key member of the back four and has been rewarded with the offer of a new contract 6
GREG HEALD: An old-fashioned centre back, he was brought into the club by Parkin just before deadline day and proved to be an inspired signing. A rock at the back 7
GARETH GRIFFITHS: Also approaching veteran stage but still commanding in the air the former skipper lost his regular starting berth but gave his all when called upon 6
DARYL BURGESS: Another member of the 30-something club, is a vastly experienced defender who got better as the season went on giving some sterling performances when it mattered most 6
MICHAEL SIMPKINS: A Buckley signing who lost his place with the arrival of Parkin due to poor defensive shows and an appalling disciplinary record 4
SHAUN SMITH: Not as young as he was and sometimes caught out for pace, but gave some solid performances in the all-important final few games of the season 5
LEO BERTOS: Can sometimes disappear from games but there can been no doubting that 10 goals from the wing in a struggling side represents a decent first full season 6
GARY JONES: The former skipper was welcomed back in open arms and, once he had shaken off his lack of fitness, gave his usual all-action performances 7
SEAN MCCLARE: Neat and tidy but never provided a cutting edge 5
NEIL REDFEARN: Clearly well into the veteran stage but his experience and know-how will have proved vital to the survival battle 5
GRANT HOLT: All-action, bull at the gate-type front man. Parkin's first signing looks sure to play a pivotal role next time around 7
LEE McEVILLY: A shadow of the player that burst onto the scene two years ago and will be plying his trade with Accrington next time around 5
KEVIN TOWNSON: Scored goals aplenty for Alan Buckley but kept being left out and then completely lost his form under Parkin 5 Tweet
