KEITH Hill takes his young Rochdale side to Christie Park this evening where hosts Morecambe will be desperate to kick start their campaign.

Sammy McIlroy's men have struggled in their opening five League Two games despite strengthening the squad during summer with several new signings.

Former Accrington striker and Dale target Paul Mullin is set to make his home debut for the Shrimpers and Hill feels they have enough strength in depth to turn their season around.

Hill said: "It's still too early to say where teams will end up. The fact is you never quite know what to expect from your team at the start of the season or whether you've found the right formula in terms of new players coming in.

"Sometimes you have to make brave decisions early on if things are not working and make changes. We won't be paying any attention to Morecambe's form so far and we know Sammy McIlroy has put a strong squad together."

Long-term absentees Rory McArdle and Ciaran Toner aside, Hill has a full squad to choose from. Skipper Gary Jones has recovered from a virus after missing the midweek Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat by Bradford.
