Rochdale 2 Lincoln 2

LEE McEvilly’s 84th minute strike earned Rochdale a point at home to Lincoln.

McEvilly was in the right place to apply the finish after good work from Chris Dagnall.

Rochdale took the lead midway through the first half when Adam Le Fondre scored from close range after Bob Birch parried Adam Rundle’s effort.

Lincoln were level in the 47th minute. A left-wing cross from Anthony Elding was aimed towards substitute Sam Mullarky at the back post but Rochdale full-back Tom Kennedy intervened, slicing the ball into his own goal from three yards.

The visitors were ahead in the 62nd minute, Danny N’Guessan collecting a wayward header from Rory McArdle and unleashing a fierce half-volley from the edge of the box past Fielding.

N’Guessan hit the foot of the post with another well-struck shot while Birch saved well from Ciaran Toner, Chris Dagnall and Will Buckley before McEvilly’s late leveller.
