Dale's form has been inconsistent since the inspirational captain was sidelined with a knee injury at the end of November and manager Keith Hill feels his return will be a major boost.
"He looks really sharp and he is instrumental in setting the kind of up-tempo pace we like to operate at. He just wants to get back and when he is back we are a better team with him in it.
"He sets the tempo and the standard for the rest of the players to follow."
Saturday's opponents are on the fringe of the play-off chase but have recruited strikers Anthony Elding and Geoff Horsfield.
