The match with the Blue Square Premier strugglers has been earmarked for extended coverage on the channel's Saturday night highlights show, but Hill - who will again be without midfielder Gary Jones, striker Chris Dagnall and right-back Scott Wiseman - is not concerned.
"It's typical cup football with everyone looking for an upset, but on current form we are very strong, especially away from home."
Skipper Jones missed the draw at Gillingham in midweek with a ligament problem, and is expected to be out for 10 to 14 days, while Dagnall faces a similar spell on the sidelines with a bruised foot.
But Hill reckons his revamped squad can cope, even with the loss of Jones, saying: "Gary is our driving force and a top player as well but we have good replacements and a bigger squad than we had last season."
Wiseman damaged a hamstring at Gillingham and is out for up to a month.
Hill comes up against former Morecambe manager Jimmy Harvey and reckons that it itself helps to measure the task his team faces, saying: "They have good players, nearly all of them with League experience and Jim has good pedigree in the competition with Morecambe.
"Forest Green have not been having a good season and he will be telling his players this is an opportunity to get themselves noticed."
Key opponent: Andy Mangan - former Bury man has been in the goals this season
Prediction: Forest Green 1 Dale 2 - Dale should have too much quality for the Conference strugglers
