ROCHDALE were denied a fifth successive win after Nat Brown’s 80th minute header cancelled out Adam Rundle’s goal at Spotland.
Terry Dunfield’s header towards his own goal forced a good save from Jon Brain in the first half while Rochdale goalkeeper Sam Russell did well to smother Gareth Evans’ effort.
Joe Thompson smashed a shot against the outside of the post from a narrow angle and Dagnall tested Brain with a well-struck effort as Rochdale turned up the pressure.
That pressure told in the 66th minute when Tom Kennedy’s corner was flicked on by Dagnall into the six-yard area and Rundle bundled the ball over the line.
The Silkmen levelled when Izak Reid’s superb cross into the area was met by Nat Brown and his thumping header beat Russell all ends up.
