Hill: Mistakes cost us

ROCHDALE manager Keith Hill blamed individual errors for the defeat at Lincoln which ended their amazing unbeaten away record.

Keeper Sam Russell spilled a Lee Frecklington free-kick just before the break allowing Jamie Forrester to open the scoring, and though Rene Howe equalised early in the second half, he failed to pick up his man and allowed Daniel Hone to score a vital late goal for Lincoln.

It was the first time Dale have lost away in the league since the opening day of the season against Peterborough.

Hill said: "I found our defeat hard to stomach because we dominated things. It is a game we should have won but you have to be accountable for mistakes that you make.

"Sam should have done better with the first goal and that is two mistakes in two games that have cost us goals."
