Rochdale

Preview: Dale v Peterborough

ROCHDALE face another massive promotion six-pointer when they entertain big-spending Peterborough at Spotland - and they will have deadline day signing Lee Thorpe to help them.

Thorpe signed from Brentford and will soften the blow of  Glenn Murray's exit to Brighton.

Manager Keith Hill, who has been given the League Two Coca-Cola manager-of-the-month award for January is back from the illness that made him miss the midweek win at Chester and is looking forward to the challenge.

He said: "It is a really big game for Peterborough because they are a big fish within our pond.

"They will have started the season with ambitions of automatic promotion while ours were slightly different.

"We are overachieving again and that is testament to the players and everyone connected to the "The lads truly believe that we are going to achieve something this season but this is not a make-or-break game for us but we will approach it with our usual enthusiasm."

Hill has a selection headache with defender Nathan Stanton facing a ban and on-loan striker Rene Howe ineligible to play against his parent club.

Last season: Dale 0 Peterborough 1

Key opponent: Aaron McLean - Lively striker has been in the goals of late

Prediction: Dale 2 Peterborough 1 - This will be a real test of Dale's promotion credentials but they are in great form
