ROCHDALE's chances of reaching the play-off spots have been boosted by Nathan Stanton's decision to stay at Spotland.

He has signed a two-year extension to his contract and has given boss Keith Hill another shot in the arm after results went Rochdale's way in a rain-wrecked weekend which saw their game against Bradford City called off.

The popular defender said: "I was really happy to sign and I'm sure that during my time here we can go on to really achieve something.

"You have to build from the back and if you aren't conceding you always have a chance especially with the sort of front players that we have here."

The club is holding a Fans Forum at Spotland tonight with chairman Chris Dunphy on the panel. Doors open at 7pm. Admission is free.
