ROCHDALE finished their pre-season fixtures with a 2-1 win against Conference battlers Northwich Victoria.

Trailing to a Chris Williams rocket midway through the first half, Dale hit back immediately when Adam LeFondre turned home a miss-hit Chris Dagnall volley. Striker Glenn Murray marked his return from injury with a stunning second-half winner.

Dale boss Keith Hill said: "I am happy with our preparations. Our fitness levels are good but the proof of the pudding is in the eating and we can't wait for the kick-off."
