Crooks blow for Dale

Lee Crooks
ROCHDALE are warming up nicely for the new season . . . but manager Keith Hill's injury headaches are on the increase.

Midfielder Lee Crooks joined the injury list after suffering a thigh injury during Dale's 3-0 win over Huddersfield at Spotland on Saturday.

Hill's men were two up in the first five minutes thanks to an Adam Rundle free-kick and an Adam Le Fondre tap-in. Le Fondre scored again before the break to give Dale a comfortable win over Andy Ritchie's League One side.

But it is the injuries that are worrying Hill ahead of Dale's League Two kick-off at Peter-borough a week on Saturday.

He said: "The main concern now is the number of players with niggling injuries. It is very important to get them back for Peterborough."
