ROCHDALE skipper Gary Jones can't wait to get back into training for the new season.

Anticipation is high at Spotland after Dale's storming end to last season with season-ticket sales to reach the 1,000-mark before August.

"It's fantastic that the fans have given us backing like this and it sums up the feeling around the place," said Jones.

"I can speak for all the players in saying we can't wait to get back into training. I'm now straining at the leash to get back in the swing."
