Preview: Oldham Athletic v Peterborough United

BRIAN Talbot has told his Oldham players that the key to winning the battle against relegation will be their home form.

They have four games left at Boundary Park and he has called for three wins, starting with fellow strugglers Peterborough.

Talbot has upped his survival target from 50 points to 52, explaining: "Other sides are picking up points and it has left us with more work to do.

"We can't afford to come away with anything less than maxiumum points against Peterborough because it will give us a boost and put extra pressure on them. We need to unlock defences and that means the time has possibly come to start taking a few risks."

Jermaine Johnson will be handed a place in the starting line-up, operating wide on the right.

The Bolton midfielder, who is with the Latics until the end of the season, came on as a sub at Luton last week and almost turned the game with his tricky runs.

Striker Dean Crowe, who has been released by Luton, scored against his old club in that game and will again start.

There is a doubt over front man Wes Wilkinson who has been told he needs surgery on a torn cartilage. A decision will be made shortly before kick-off.

Talbot added: "It is going to be tough, they all are."

LAST SEASON: Oldham 0 Peterborough 0

KEY OPPONENT: Andy Clarke - the former Premiership striker may be 36 but he can still bang in the goals.

PREDICTION: Oldham 3 Peterborough 1
