Preview: Oldham Athletic v Wycombe Wanderers

OLDHAM boss Brian Talbot is facing a selection headache ahead of tomorrow's visit by rock-bottom Wycombe.

He moved swiftly to bring in new players before yesterday's transfer deadline to help boost the battle against relegation.

But his dilemma is whether he can he drop any of the players who did so well last week when they went to third-placed Bristol City and came away with all three points.

It was a coupon-busting result and could prove vital as the Latics try to beat the drop.

Midfield man Ernie Cooksey grabbed the first goal in a 2-0 win to take his tally to six for the season.

He said: "It was an amazing result but we all believed we could do it.

"We just have to make sure we don't slip up against Wycombe and waste all the good work.

"We have to keep it going to get out of trouble but we all believe we can do it."

Talbot will have to make one change after midfielder Danny Boshell was ruled out for the rest of the season after quitting the game at Ashton Gate with knee damage.

But he has signed the experienced Mark Bonner from Cardiff until the end of the season and the 29-year-old could go straight in for his debut.

The Latics are still seven points short of Talbot's survival target of 50 and he insisted: "We still need a few more wins before we can start relaxing. When you are in our position there are no easy games and we will have to be at our best.

"We will be expected to take all three points, particularly after our excellent performance at Bristol City, but it doesn't always work that way.

"Wycombe will be coming with nothing to lose and we must be ready for them."

Tony Adams's relegation-bound side have yet to win away this season and have managed just 13 goals in 19 games.

LAST SEASON: Oldham 0 Wycombe 2

KEY OPPONENT: Nathan Tyson - Adams reckons his recent signing from Reading has the potential to be a 15-goals a season striker.
