They go to play-off chasing Port Vale, and caretaker boss John Sheridan admitted: "It's going to be tougher than thrashing Grimsby. We could have scored more in that one but took our foot off the pedal.
"Port Vale will be no pushovers and we won't be making that mistake.
"They are a good, experienced side with some dangerous players, and it is going to be difficult. But, at the same time, we are proving to be hard to beat, and I am confident we can get something out of the game."
Dean Holden is the player to miss out. He starts a two-match ban after picking up his tenth yellow card.
Ex-Manchester United man Michael Clegg is favourite to take over.
