OLDHAM will have to snuff out the threat of old boy Wayne Andrews at Colchester if they are to get their season back on track.

The 24-year-old left Boundary Park in the summer when his 12-month option wasn't taken up.

But he has settled in quickly with the Essex club and is top scorer with nine goals.

Latics boss Iain Dowie said: "He is a terrific lad. We will have to watch him closely otherwise he will hurt us."

Oldham have won only one of their last eight games and are still smarting from last Saturday's 5-2 FA Cup exit.

Dowie insisted: "We need to start winning and I won't be afraid to make changes. We have to get back to our defensive record of last season."

Calvin Zola is expected to return after a hamstring injury to form new strike partnership with on-loan Jermaine Johnson.
