Preview: Plymouth Argyle v Oldham Athletic

OLDHAM boss Iain Dowie takes his side to table-topping Plymouth tomorrow looking for an upturn in form.

The Latics have lost the last two on their travels and leaked six goals to drop away from touching distance of the play-off places.

Plymouth, however, are on fire at the moment and scoring goals for fun. They have won their last five games, hit an incredible 19 goals and conceded just two.

They are also the runaway top scorers of the second division with 36.

Dowie and his coaching staff watched a video of their recent 5-1 hammering of high-flying Port Vale and admitted: "It is a tough, tough contest. They have added one or two players to last season's squad and will take some stopping.

"But we have shown this season that we are capable of pulling a few surprises."

Dowie is still hoping that he will have at least one loan player in his patched-up squad.

Veteran winger David Eyres (broken foot) and striker Chris Killen (hamstring) will again be missing. But centre-back Will Haining could return after being sidelined for two months with hamstring damage.

LAST SEASON: Plymouth 2 Oldham Athletic 1

KEY OPPONENT: David Norris - the flying winger provides ammunition with non-stop crosses.
