OLDHAM'S injury-jinxed Dean Holden is facing an anxious wait to see if he needs surgery on a damaged hip.

A specialist's report will reveal if he has to undergo an operation which could keep him out for up to three months.

That would see the former Bolton defender battling to be ready in time for next season.

The unlucky 22-year-old missed pre-season for the current campaign and needed to undergo knee surgery. Holden has been sidelined for five months.
