The Dutchman has failed to score in his seven games since his comeback from injury but boss Iain Dowie insisted: "Clyde is a natural scorer and nobody doubts that he will be back among the goals very soon."
Latics have a major doubt over in-form keeper Les Pogliacomi who has been under treatment all week after losing the feeling in his right leg following a fall. Tony Carss (knee), Chris Killen (ankle) face late fitness checks but John Eyre (thigh) is definitely out while Carlo Corazzin returns from international duty.
Relegation-threatened Barnsley have lost only one of their last seven games and Dowie said: "They have quality players who have figured in the Premiership and I find it amazing that they have struggled."
Dowie, who is hoping Oldham can win all their remaining games, added: "We are one of the best teams in the second division so expectations are high. "I haven't given up hope of doing it."
LAST SEASON: Different divisions.
KEY OPPONENT: Bruce Dyer - 16 goals so far.
PREDICTION: Oldham 2 Barnsley 1
