They had held a lead for 78 minutes but conceded an equaliser with just four minutes to go.
The Latics had gone in front in the fifth minute and once again Lkue Beckett grabbed the glory when he ran onto a Mark Hughes pass before calmly clipping the ball past the keeper.

MK Dons piled on the pressure in the second half and the leveller finally came in the 83rd minute when Gareth Edds struck from close range in an untidy goalmouth scramble. Tweet

I thought Mark Hughes had an excellent game today in the centre of midfield. It's an absolute shame that Northern Ireland did not submit an under-21 team for the world cup because they could not afford the admission fee. An absolute disgrace. If Mark had been playing in these internationals against teams like England and Wales live on TV he would surely be attracting interest from clubs in the Premiership and Championship. I can't understand either why Lawrie Sanchez does not feel Mark is capable of playing at the highest level, surely he can do better than Roy Essandoh, now playing in the Rymans league. An absolute disrace. Well done to Oldham in the last few weeks, but surely they should not be in this position of this league!
