Video: Volunteers battle blanket of snow at Oldham's 'Ice Station Zebra'

The mercury was plunging at 'Ice Station Zebra' on Thursday as a group of hardy volunteers helped to try and clear the Boundary Park pitch ahead of Oldham's clash with Walsall on Tuesday.

A handful of Latics fans were down at the ground on Thursday morning to help head groundsman Chris Bailey and his staff battle against sub-zero conditions.

Click below to watch a video report of the scene at Boundary Park plus interviews with Chris and one of the volunteers, fan Daniel Royle. The staff are on the look out for any help they can get in clearing away the snow so would welcome any more volunteers.

Absolutely fantastic achievement by everyone involved.

What a tragedy that only 2500 bothered to turn up !.. the sooner Mr Corney and the Directors get the message and get the club out of this division the better.
