Yeovil 3 Oldham 1

Paul Dickov called on his Oldham players to improve their attitude after a third successive defeat.

Second-half goals from Ed Upson, Andrew Williams and Paul Wotton gave the Glovers a deserved victory at Huish Park and left Latics bottom of League One.

Reuben Reid pulled a goal back in stoppage time, but Dickov was irked at the way his side collapsed following Upson’s 49th-minute opener.

He said: “The players did a lot of talking after our first two games, saying they were going to learn from those previous second-half performances.

“They spoke all week about doing things right and reacting properly but talk is cheap and I thought there was a lack of desire which I don’t want to be associated with. It’s not
acceptable to come here and lose 3-1.

“The fans who came all travelled a long way and whether a few (players) showed their true colours, I don’t know.

“It only takes one or two heads to go down to rub off on everybody else but we’re only two league games into the season.

“I still believe we’ve got good players and I don’t want them to panic because I won’t.”

Latics went behind when a free-kick 25 yards out was blocked by the Oldham wall, but Upson collected the loose ball and fired home.

Yeovil doubled their lead with 16 minutes left throughWilliams before Wotton extended Yeovil’s advantage from the penalty, although Reid did get a consolation from the spot.

The cuckoo's are flying around Boundary Park again....The Manager in dreamland, the Board...??? not quite sure who they are, the website so out of date it's becoming a joke, with so many players ...who are now actually at other clubs.... still shown as Oldham players.

Mr Corney are you there ?...we need something positive done and very quickly before all the regenerated interest due to the change of ground plans is totally lost...and I suspect, sadly forever in many, many cases.

Perhaps this is what they want...the gradual decline and ultimate death of our Town Football Club....
