League two side Leyton Orient were left chasing the game after 26 minutes.Latics centre back Will Haining was bundled down in the box and Killen made no mistake from the penalty spot.
The New Zealand international was on target again six minutes before the break.
Lee Croft floated over a deep cross and Killen met it perfectly at the far post to thump home a header.
The big striker grabbed his third in the 65th minute when he raced 20 yards before slipping the ball over the advancing keeper.
It was his eighth strike in six games to make him the Latics nine goal top scorer.
Croft, on loan from Manchester City, finished off the scoring with Oldham's fourth goal five minutes from the end. Tweet

Thank goodness Port Vale decided to buy someone else to fill their striker roles.....Thank goodness our Manager was faced with having no one else to put into the team other than than the outcasts...Chris Killen and Scott Vernon, though Scott may be going soon I guess.
There are quite blatant problems at Boundary Park .... some resolved by winning matches others !!!!! we sign Rob Lee, get him a Sponsors Car and he doesn't even get into the team....why ???? wait and see - Mr Lee has kicked his toys out of his pram and yet again we have self inflicted problems.....one day all will be well at Latics, in the meanwhile get your money on at Fred's...good odds on promo and top scorers....
Come you Latics (Players I mean) keep it up and show the Clown just what you can do....
