Oldham Ath

Preview: Torquay Utd v Oldham Athletic

OLDHAM Athletic take on fellow-strugglers Torquay tomorrow with boss Brian Talbot insisting: "We have to go with determination and big hearts.

"It is a six-pointer and if we are to get out of relegation trouble, it is vital we beat sides below us."

The already under-strength Latics have been hit by more suspension and injury woe.

Joint top scorer Jermaine Johnson has joined the list of long-term injury victims which now includes Rodney Jack, Mark Bonner, Will Haining and John Eyre.

Mark Arber is also struggling with a sore groin and will take a late fitness test, while Kevin Betsy starts a three-week ban for his midweek sending-off.

Oldham picked up their first league win in nine games at rock-bottom Stockport last Saturday and followed that with victory over non-league Accrington in the LDV Trophy.

Talbot added: "Now we have to make it three on the trot. "Success breeds success and stops you getting in a rut."

LAST SEASON: Different divisions.

KEY OPPONENT: Adebayo Akinfenwa - give him room and he will hurt you.

PREDICTION: Torquay 0 Oldham Ath 1.
