Oldham Athletic 1 Bournemouth 2

TWO second half goals in 17 minutes from Bournemouth top scorer James Hayter left Oldham without a win in eight games.

The Latics had opened the scoring with the game less than two minutes old.

Teenage full back Kelvin Lomax sent a cross into the box forcing a defender to handle.

Striker Scott Vernon sent the keeper the wrong way with a perfectly taken penalty.

But a defensive blunder in the 59th minute let the visitors back into the match.

Hayter was left with the simple task of passing the ball into an empty net. He was then left with oceans of space when he hit the winner in the 76th minute to make it six wins from seven for the high flying Cherries.

Match Report...Oldham v Bournemouth..23.10.04

Oldham got off to a fantastic start at Boundary Park today, winning a penalty after only 90 seconds of the game, Blackpool loanee forward Scott Vernon....who has just returned to BP due to the kindness of the winner of the Club Lottery donating his B#50 win to the club to pay Scott's wages....He is expected back at Blackpool during the next few weeks after the Club have spent the Gas Meter Rebate money on his wages until the end of the month.

Back to the match ...Oldham ahead after only 2 minutes..and yes a Forward actually scored a goal......after 3 minutes Latics had yet another chance when a strong wind blew the ball away from the ball boy directly behind the goal, the Cherry pickers goalie was so shocked he nearly dropped the ball into his own net.. Oh the excitement at Boundary Park is becoming hard to endure these days... 4th minute to 93rd Minute ........ABSOLUTE TOTAL CRAP....

Cheers Danny ( No not Boshell)

When is Talbot going to do the honourable thing? Can he not see he's lost the respect of players and fans alike - that's if he ever had such respect in the first place.

Despite the fact that Talbot is tactically inept, it would appear that the board are keeping faith in him and he's unlikely to leave...
