TEN-MAN Oldham suffered a fourth defeat in five games as they were well beaten at the Banks's Stadium.
Two goals from Troy Deeney and one for Steve Jones were enough to see off a Latics side handicapped by the 43rd minute dismissal of LeeĀ Hills.
The left-back, on loan from Crystal Palace, was shown a straight red card by referee Andy Woolmer for an X-rated, late challenge on Jones.
Deeney had given the Saddlers a 20th minute lead when he converted Darren Byfield's cross from close range. Having recovered from Hills' tackle, Jones doubled Walsall's advantage by lofting a through ball over Flahavan moments before the break.
Dave Penney sacrificed striker Nick Blackman for Joe Jacobson, only to be forced into a further change as Reuben Hazell failed to appear for the second half.
Deeney wrapped up the game with 10 minutes left, controlling a long ball which held up in the wind before firing past Flahavan. Joe Colbeck headed against the bar for the Latics with time running out but they were comfortably second best.

Also that the Club's C.E.O has been asking for Fleetwood Town executive to consider O.A.F.C. travel costs etc...when the fixtures are compiled for 2011 - not to play our fixtures on a Saturday in case the weekly fishing trips around Morecambe reduce the attendance at our matches, both at home at Failsworth Pole Community Centre and at the New Fisherman's Friend Stadia de Fylde.
Cheers. D
