He grabbed his first in the 50th minute. Superb long ball from David Eyres saw Eyre burst into the box and although the Chesterfield keeper blocked his first shot the ball cannoned back off the player and rolled into an empty net.
But there was no element of luck about his second in the 81st minute.
This time he was put away by Paul Murray as he came up with a clean strike into the roof of the net.
