REUBEN Hazell is putting in the hours on the training pitch while most of his Oldham team-mates are on the beach.

The player of the year is recovering from an operation to ease tension in his groin.

But he is already running and will be able to play a full part in a training week organised by boss Dave Penney.

Physio Marc Czuczman said: "Considering the operation he has progressed brilliantly."
