OLDHAM have signed midfielder Dale Stephens from League Two neighbours Bury.

A fee for the out-of- contract midfielder will be decided by a tribunal.

Latics made a bid for the talented teenager in the January transfer window but it was turned down.

Shakers boss Alan Knill offered Stephens a new deal, but the player decided to leave Gigg Lane, where he has come through the youth system.

Stephens, who made his League debut against Peterborough in February last year, also had a six-match loan spell with non-league Droylsden.
