OLDHAM boss John Sheridan was critical of his side after their 2-1 pre-season defeat at Rochdale.
Stefan Stam had equalised Adam Le Fondre's effort only for Chris Dagnall to snatch a winner five minutes from time.
Sheridan told the club's website: "I'm disappointed because I hate losing and we had the chances to win the game.
"Plus how many times have I talked about giving away sloppy goals? However, the main thing remains fitness and getting the lads to match standard."
Triallist Alan Wright played 90 minutes.
