FC UNITED ended their `mini-blip' with a last-gasp 3-2 win over Ramsbottom at Gigg Lane.
The Reds' four-game run without a win looked set to continue as Ramsbottom took an early lead through Carl Thomas before adding a second just after the break with an unfortunate own goal from Rob Nugent.
But the Rebels fought back, with captain Dave Chadwick heading home from a corner before substitute Rory Patterson won a penalty which Alex Mortimer converted.
Then, two minutes from time, the 2,924 crowd got the late Christmas present they wanted with a Nicky Platt winner.
FC play Newcastle Town on Saturday at Gigg Lane (3pm).
What is your verdict on the game? Have your say.

I`m sure the vocal backing helped as well, fantastic atmosphere even at two nil down and well deserved ecstatic celebrations at the end.

Anyway - spoke to a guy I worked with after the game yesterday, Has worked for and is deeply involved with them and has been for many years. He was one of FC's biggest naysayers when we started out all of a 18 monthe ago yet had nothing but praise for the vlub from the fans all the way tp the board - about 15 foot if I remember rightly.
Still missing all that is FC - as it stands I am hoping to be back for at least one game before the end of the season.
heres to a good 2007 with 2 titles won by 2 Uniteds' and happy new year to all - even those of you who have not yet understood.

Many people don't still/yet understand what FC is ALL about, its not JUST Glazer, its not JUST Sky, its not just greed at ANY level, its about fans owning the club they support, its about watching football at 3 o'clock on a Saturday, its about singing your heart out for 90minutes with mates you probably only see on that Saturday, its about time Salford Red STOPPED SHOUTING in all his messages, its about Northern Souls Keepin' The Faith, its about Mancunians leading the New Way Forward in Football! Forza FC

For the record I left Manchester in October to marry my girl. I am an FC season ticket holder still as I was last year and will be buying two junior tickets next year which will go to a supporters branch to distribute to schools.
Of course my membership will continue to be paid meaning I can say I am an part owner of my football club- which means I can have a say in our rules - how unique.
I was also a season ticket holder at O.T for 15 years before I refused to pay another mans mortgage.
Still, maybe you are right and the thousands of miles I currently reside from Manchester makes me a fool.

Thats a bold statement and if it was the case shouldnt Salford be out of sight by now!!
I hope Salford are promoted (with FC and Maine Road), but even the most ardent Ammie would be pushed to agree with the statement.
