Hallam joins FC

FC United have raided Skelmersdale for the second time by landing goal-scoring defender Tony Hallam.

The Rebels snapped up striker Stuart Rudd from Skem last week, and have now picked up 23-year-old former Preston, Morecambe and Southport stopper Hallam.

Meanwhile, FC United's pre-season friendly with Bury has been switched from Wednesday July 19 to July 26 (7.45pm) to fit in with the Shakers' other commitments.

Clearly Crudd and Hallam either are not good enough or they prefer playing in front of a few happy clappys than playing at a higher level. No doubt being paid a lot more money has its compensations too. As for hallams passing acquaintance with Fotball League clubs that just a bit of name dropping to impress the banjo players in the crowd.

Why Dan, anyone would think that you actually care about a little old pub team like FC United. Rudd and Hallam are great players at our level and nothing for anyone above our level to get their knickers in a twist about. It's not yet 100 percent that Hallam has signed anyway, as he may have had alternative offers. Still you carry on spitting the dummy, mother will be here soon.

Hallam has not signed for FC United. A quick galnce at the Skelmersdale official site has confirmed that Tony Hallam has infact joined Cammell Laird, so a side ways step rather than a backwards one.
